Combujis' solution is good enough, however if you have more number of p****engers directly going between A & B then ****ign the following lines...
If there are more p****engers at B:
Line : A -> B -> oil rigs -> B -> A.
If there are more p****engers at A:
Line : B -> A -> oil rigs -> A -> B.

I think even if they get more 'number' of suppliers, the total production (adding all their production units/month) should be proportional for a given consumer.

For example, if a coal power station is consuming coal at 150% producing 3000 units/month, then keeping a safe margin of overproduction (2x), all coal mines supplying it at 100% should be totalling to 9000 units/month. Then be it one coal mine with 9000 units/month or 3 coal mines with 2000, 3000, 4000 units/month respectively. I hope you get the idea...

For him, yes it should be reverse but as I play and for the majority, main use of electricity is to increase production over consumption.

Oh boy, I've never used Electricity in simutrans so far.
Got a Question though: do electrified Shops consume/sell more Goods? Or do they just pay for it without any side-effect?
Would be nice if they did, because I usually end up producing more goods than my Shops can consume. :)
In that case you should add electricity to the goods-producing factories and NOT goods-consuming factories. That way their production will be more than consumption.

^^ That would be really crazy :) Try it !!! My routes get overcrowded quickly with p****enger_factor=20.
(I don't know whether p****enger_factor increases in direct proportion or exponential...)

Hello everyone! I have been away for a long while from posting, but I used to visit as guest... I really appreciate the way developer team has carried Simutrans ahead during this period.

Well... who are the people who remember me from the old forum? I see a lot of new people having been addicted to Simutrans and its development. :)

From what I understand all these years playing simutrans and as Prissi said,
1. p****enger_factor in config file indicates the global multiplier for p****enger generation. Larger the value, more overall p****engers, smaller means opposite.
2. suppose with p****enger_factor=16, a building with p****enger level 1 generates 2 p****enger/day... then a building with p****enger level 20 will generate 40 p****engers/day. Its just a comparison between buildings generating p****engers and not an absolute number. Same for mail level.

The archive idea is good to reduce the traffic with static pages. It seems strange to see a forum start over all again, which we have been accustomed to all these days! Nevertheless the admins and Timothy did a remarkable job! :)

Its sad to know that the old forum data could not be used with the new forum... (I lost my account too, but on re-registering I now know, all of you have joined again!)

Anyway I'm glad this forum is at least up and continues to be the center point for Simutrans.
