Ahh, thank you for spotting that omission, and just in the nick of time, too, as I was about to upload and distribute 0.7. I have added concrete elevated tracks (without new graphics for the time being: until somebody has time to draw any, they will look like brick viaducts) for the next release, the .dat file for which is reproduced below. Thank you for the report!
Ooh, awesome! I was just about to start a new game, but I'll hold off if there's a new version dropping imminently!
I started a game c. 1840 and am finding that there's essentially /no/ p****enger traffic being generated, even . Can I edit the journey time tolerance (like the speed bonuses, changing with era) or is it hard-coded?
1) Adding cities to the heightmap including number of inhabitants, this could be independant of pak 2) Adding rivers to the heightmap, but this would very likely depend on pak 3) Adding factories and attractions to the map, including factory linkage, but this would certainly be pak-dependant
I have ideas how I would like to implement this (about the same format as makeobj uses), but no time to work on it. And the real developers are very busy with network functionality. But maybe one day...
Glad I'm not the only one. I realize now that I didn't mention it, but adding cities and factories roads would also be another desirable for me too. Unfortunately, I realize that they would probably all be dependent on the pak; in addition to what you mentioned about paks having different or no rivers/factories, I think the cities would also depend, since different paks have different city buildings, city roads, and even town halls... but there's no reason we couldn't vary some of the other map properties after having locked in the pak!
What I would like to do is take one of the lovely heightmaps provided on maps.simutrans.com, add rivers, and save for further re-use, independently of other map constraints (for example, year, starting funds, median city size...). Is this possible?
Perhaps this is what a scenario would be? I haven't figured out why the "Load scenario" button is on the main screen...
I'm generally not a fan of thread necromancy, but the experimental version of 192.comic no longer appears to be available... can someone confirm that this is the case, or is it just me?
I've never seen this before in vanilla Simutrans and this is my first game with Experimental, so...
The message "Maximum of 254 stops in a schedule!" keeps popping up about every 5-10 seconds in this game, making it impossible to play. It's something in the save, which I can include if desired, because it happens even after exiting the program and reloading the save, and doesn't happen with other saves. I'm not sure what I did since the previous (still-working) save... if I recall, I didn't do very much.
[ simutrans [dot] us (site down, do not visit) ] is not down; however, there was a server move nearly a week ago. Perhaps your ISP's DNS has not updated?
