Title: making new good list
Post by: Magic_Gorter on December 22, 2008, 03:02:21 pm
I'm trying to make for my tulip farm my first factory pak. But when I set the type of goods on tulips simutrans won't start and gives a error message (see added picture). When I set type of goods on cotton or something else it works just fine (because the type of good still excist).
How can I solve/make this. I've looked everywhere on this topic but I can't find it.

The good "tulip" must be "declared" in a dat file.

Here is the declaration of such a good:

obj=good
name=tulips
metric= bulbs
catg=1
value=100
speed_bonus=5

Well, the metric bulbs might no be handy... catg=1 means it's a piece good. Don't know what value and speed_bonus will do, but that's probably explained in the German wiki.

Good luck

Thanks Combuijs. Now it works. I will look at the metric name. It looks a little strange that 1 wagon can only transport 20 bulbs. I can carry them almost with my hands :D..and I had enough bulbs in my hands when I was younger...Perhaps boxes or something like that with bulbs is better....
