I´ve compiled the sourced for Ubuntu Linux 8.04 PPC. The G4 (7450) optimized version can be dowloaded from the following links, if you are interested.

I had no crashes or other problems on my test machine, a Mac Mini G4 1.25GHz, 1GB. If you encounter any trouble don´t hasitate to answer. Of course there is no warranty ;)
