Title: city rule - industry increase every
Post by: colonyan on March 17, 2009, 10:39:41 pm
    It says on cityrule config,

-at which number of inhabitants we need a new market?industry_increase_every = 2000

Is this apply for each city or for whole map?
This definitely is not for each city.
I also read somewhere that new market is created when 2000, 4000, 8000, 16000 population increase for each city very long time ago.
    Thankyou for your attention.

edit- Another question. If I change value after I've saved the game, will change applied or it remain the same?

The value is not saved in the savegame, so when you change it in the config file, it will be the same for every game.

@Combuijs
I see.  Thanks. So if I type like 100,000,  new market is not likely to happen.

Does someone know if new market is created each 2000 increase for each city or whole map?
Or there's another way it is processed?

So if I type like 100,000,  new market is not likely to happen.

If you put 0 (zero) for this parameter no industry chain will be created at all.

Thank you! Now I'm clear.

p.s. 1st addition is made after 2000 increase
2nd addition is made after another 4000 increase of above,
3rd addition is made after another 8000 increase on top of above,
etc I guess this is happening.
