Title: Graphical glitch on bridges
Post by: The Hood on April 26, 2009, 01:35:00 pm
I noticed this since the new bridge builder was introduced (which is awesome btw!).  It isn't caused by the new builder though, as I have checked on older versions and I can build the same thing and get the same glitch.

If you look at the screenshot, you will notice the pillar doesn't show properly.  This happens when you have the up-ramp from the bridge immediately before the land slopes down (therefore requiring the extra pillar).

The image is pakBritain, but I notice it happens in pak128 too (and presumably every pakset)

OT: has you build this bridge by hand? If not, which version do you use?

@Frank:

Thanks - it's not a bug after all then.  I wasn't aware of that dat setting.

@gerw

Actually I built that myself as a player - I noticed the AI did something like that occasionally, but when I went to get a screenshot I couldn't see one again!

Of course, this should be fixed since several versions (r2422).

BTW, pillar_asymmetric doesn't work well with rotating the map, does it ?

Not, this is also not solvable, since those are objects on different tiles. In principle, before building such a bridge, the rotation would be better converted to default rotation again ...
