I noticed that there's a saved games section on the old forum, but none on here. Why is this? I ask because I was looking for other peoples' saved games so I could examine their work. ;)
First "problem" is compatibility between versions, as some old savegames may not work with newer versions. Then you need to have more or less the same objects (vehicles, buildings, etc..) to make the savegame works, and as there're tons of addons, you sometimes need to post the savegame file and the pak folder you're using, and that exceeds the forum attachment size limit. Finally, well, although I think Simutrans has now more fans than in the past, only a few people has encouraged to join the forum and post their savegames. I think they preffer to post screenshots instead of savegames. Anyway, if you dig a bit, you may find good savegames, here and at old forum
Other than that, maybe then savegames can be posted in the OpenTTD forum section (http://www.tt-forums.net/viewforum.php?f=22) I think those are up to 2MB attachments there.
Also I believe at www.files.simutrans-germany.com I think that's the correct address please feel free to correct it if I'm wrong.
Hi
I am a bit embarr****ed to say this...but I cant find my own saved games on my computer.
Ive looked in the Simutrans directory but cant find them. Have I missed them or are they somewhere else?
Also...how can I establish the map size of a saved game?
Your saved games are in ../My Documents/Simutrans/save on Windows or /home/[user]/simutrans/save on Linux.
@vilvoh:wrong answer.Just post which version,pakset,addons you're using,then post the savegame with your username from the forum on files.simutrans-germany.com
That isn't too hard... Just have the rules for it. Any topic on savegames not following the rules gets deleted.
The rules aren't really perfect,there need to be made minor changes (deletion of aproxximately the half).
@Severous:windows: C:\Users\[YourUsername]\Documents\Simutrans\save
linux:didn't find it. ???
Even commandline(terminal/console) doesn't help me.
