Title: Updating from V99.17.1 Pak128 to newest version
Post by: blazer on May 16, 2009, 09:11:48 pm
Hi, Im new to the forum, but have been running Simutrans for a while.

I currently run Pak128 on version 99.17.1 (Pak128 wasnt compatible with Version 100 when I downloaded Simutrans). If I download the newest Version of Simutrans and Pak128, will I be able to load my old savegames from Version 99.17.1? I dont have any mods (never thought about them until now). Or will I have to create new games?

Thanks

Welcome to the forum.

The old savegames should be loadable in the newest version of Simutrans in combination with the newest Pak128. It is not the other way round, so once you saved the game in the newest version, there is no way going back to 99.17.1.

Please report if you run into trouble.

Thanks a lot. The updated graphics are a nice touch, as are the 2 added zoom levels.

I'm late to the party, but I always suggest: Make a backup of important save games first before loading and saving in new versions... :)

It depends on how important the game is to you.
