First of all, glad to see that underground slope is finally incorporated in the trunk. Thanks to all who have made it come true. :D
I have been able to build a slope down beyond the sea level, but then I cannot highlight it, delete it or extend it further. Probably the lowest level that can be manipulated is fixed at sea level?
Thank you very much for your attention!
Edit : Modified topic title, rewritten above, and added below
Supplementary observation : although I cannot select or extend from a tile which has gone below sea level, I still manage to connect 2 sub-sea-level tiles by using the tunnel tool and clicking first on a sea-level (or above-sea_level) tile on one shore and then on another sea-level (or above-sea-level) tile on the other shore. Below are images of the harbour tunnel :

this is true for the full-underground-mode, since there the sea at sea-level is displayed, which makes it impossible to select the tunnel under the sea. However, with the sliced mode I was able to build under sea level (and also in the sea^^).
Thanks for your reply, Dwachs :)
However, in my save data, sea level is -3, and the sliced underground mode only allows me to cycle through level -3 to 20. I can't go any further down beyond the sea level. Here is a screenshot when I have sliced underground mode on at the lowest possible level (-3) :

but I think it is possible to go beyond sea level, if you use the keys to decrease slice level. Needs to be activated in menuconf.tab though.
Thanks for your info, Dwachs. :)
It's good that shortcut keys can achieve this. But would it be possible to update the lowest level in Display Menu too, whenever the player drill down beyond the sea level? I think this would be clearer to players and less misleading (misleading, because the lowest level shown in Display Menu is sea level, but one can actually go past it using shortcut keys).
yes, you are right, but the complete logic to keep track of minimum and maximum levels is missing... calls for a patcher...
Als in full underground mode this was not possible. Maybe tracking lowest and highest tile would make sense anyway. (Could be updated for every season change.)
After searching, I"m afraid I can't find how to work with slopes underground. Can someone link me or give a simple introduction?

does this help?
Very much. I think I forgot to search for "underground slopes" after trying things like "underground view" and "sliced mode" and such... d'oh. Thanks! :D
