A new release of Simutrans-Experimental is available to-day, version 4.6: see here (http://forum.simutrans.com/index.php?topic=1894.0) for more information on how to get the new version. The new Windows binary can be downloaded here (http://simutrans-germany.com/files/upload/simutrans-experimental.zip). The new Linux binary is expected to be available from the morning of the 6th of July onwards: see here (http://www.43-1.org/~simutrans/simutrans-exp/) for the download page.
This version fixes a few small but important bugs identified since the release of 4.5. More major changes currently in discussion regarding the routing have not been added to this version in order that a version that fixes the bugs (especially the electrification accounting bug) could be released promptly. A list of changes follows:
Changes- FIX: Convoys did not load to overcrowded capacity. (Bernd Gabriel)
- FIX: Crashes when industries had a production of 0
- CODE: Removed config.default from the git repository.
- FIX: Incorrect accounting of purchase, upgrade and removal of way objects.
- CHANGE: Graphs now optionally read left to right rather than right to left (Nathan Sampson). NOTE: This feature does not yet have a GUI implementation for selecting the option.
Feedback and testingAs ever, any feedback is very welcome: bugs fixed in this version are mostly those identified with help from bug reporters previously, to whom I am very grateful. Any feedback on performance, gameplay balance, and any differences in strategy required between Simutrans-Experimental and Simutrans-Standard, and any other relevant feedback, would be very much appreciated.
