Title: City spawn points
Post by: AP on January 14, 2010, 07:32:31 pm
Quick question.

I've been playing around with borrowing terrain relief maps from Google Maps (with some success). As I now have a  big empty map, I was wondering if there is any way, currently, to automate the process of placing cities in prescribed (rather than random) locations?

As far as i know, there is no way for this. The Cities are placed at random locations and must be corrected manually if you want to build something specific.

Trouble is, most regular end users can't code. :-[
So, maybe he could request for a patch to be made for him by an experienced user? Maybe drop them a PM?

No. PMs are discouraged. Nearly everything should be discussed in the open. For instance, someone interested in this who *can* write a patch could see this thread, but not a PM. :)
