Title: adons helt
Post by: werl on February 28, 2010, 02:13:17 am
I am fairly new to simutrans (started in September or so). I would like to add stuff to make it better.

My question is, can someone give me a complete example .dat file. I would use it as a reference to make my own.

This is for now, later I will need some help with the images and the rest of the making process

Thanks in advance

Ps. love the game.

Hi werl. You may want to check the DAT File Reference (http://en.wiki.simutrans.com/index.php/Dat_File_Reference) in the wiki. About example DATs, just need to check the pak64 sources at the Sourceforge site, with the web-svn viewer. Pak64 is released as open source, so you can get any dat you want to use it as reference.

Now i am doing well. just have one question about the .png images. I get this if I use a perfectly good .png image. what is the problem

Fixed, Actually I think that it was the way that I made my images.

Yes, this happens when you have transparency enabled in the png images, which simutrans can't handle.  Usually the quickest way to fix is to copy the entire image into a new png and save without transparency.
