Title: Japan Keisei 3000 series commuter train.

Such a long time not working on Japan train paks.
This is KeiSei 3000 series (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Keisei_3000_series). Here comes a test capture with the prototype that with no paintjobs ;D

That loco was EF210 model which can be found on the Japanese site.
It's included in the container set.

The EF210 is in the main pak128 for a long time.

just found on that page: "[Emu]JR-East Series E231 / JR東日本 E231系(リメイク版)"

According to wikipedia those are the sets on yamanotesen. Are they also used on the radial lines? For example Seibu Ikebukuru line. The trains looked all very similar to me, but superficially still quite different.

i loved tokyo's rail system, it's almost perfect. Since i'm living in Toronto now, i try to avoid thinking of it, it just makes me feel too bad when i want to get anywhere.

@ASV62: I check the Japanese site for Pak128 add-ons often. So how did I manage to miss that (EF210)! :-[
Just for info, my main commute EMUs are Keikyu 2100s and new 1000s on the same page. (These go 130 km/h)

@gauthier: Umm - maybe my base Pak128 is an old version. No EF210s in my depots.

@sdog: Unfortunately for us railfans, JR East and many Tokyo area private lines are adopting common platform based on E231.
So E231 family with superficial differences are appearing on many lines, instead of distinct models. Alas, it seems same in Europe too, isn't it? - standardising on same Bombadier, Siemens and Alsthom designs.

I think the EF210 is not included in open-Pak128 anymore. Perhaps there was no permission to distribute it under the artistic license.

ASV64,
Is there any chance some of the japanese sets could be published under artistic license http://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/Artistic_License (http://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/Artistic_License)? Some of the japanese EMU included in pak128 are sorely missing in open pak128.

I think not-open pak128 should keep be distributed ... but witheout the sources, like before ...

I don't think there are any plans not to distribute pak128 non-free, just development will focus on open-pak128. Which makes quite a lot of sense. But that's perhaps better discussed in this thread: http://forum.simutrans.com/index.php?topic=1442.105

Actually Yamanote Line uses a special subversion, the E231-500. There are other series like, e.g. the -0 or the -1000 series... (see here (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/E231_series))
