To fill in some gaps in the 1980s and 1990s with respect to multiple units, I have produced graphics and .dat files for the following:
- Cl**** 150 (DMU)
- Cl**** 317 (EMU - overhead AC)
- Cl**** 455 (EMU - 3rd rail)
- Cl**** 456 (EMU - 3rd rail)
The sources are available to download us (site down, do not visit) ]/Multiple_uint_extravaganza_2.zip]here (http://experimental.[ simutrans [dot). These units will be incorporated into the next release of Pak128.Britain-Ex for Simutrans-Experimental.
Please note that the sources also contain alterations to existing .dat files, particularly the cl**** 153, 156 and 158, all of which are modified to be able to couple properly to the cl**** 150; bugs for coupling those units to each other are also fixed.
I am also currently working on some older, pre-nationalisation suburban EMUs which should be of benefit to users of Simutrans-Experimental who may struggle to find appropriate units in the early years.
broken link, the file was actually uploaded as "...uint..." not unit.
Cool beans on the graphics!
yes, it's broken ::(
Fixed the link - thank you for reporting that!
Nice work with these graphics although I would say that the 456s look like they have a vertical front end in the side-on images when in reality they have quite a pronounced slope (much more so than the 319 which I guess you used as a base?).
Ahh, yes, I did use the 319 as a base - I wasn't aware that they had a different rake at the cab end. How much more of an angle do you think that they need?
Not too much - just enough to show it's not completely vertical. You may even be able to pixel edit the two views that matter and just remove one or two columns of pixels at the top. Granted, it's a rather subtle point though...
I spotted a couple of bugs in the source here when I was getting them ready for loading into the standard release. In the 317 and 455, the rear driving vehicle dat points at the images for one of the middle vehicles.
Thank you very much for pointing that out: fixes attached.
Anyway, they are now in standard.
Excellent!
