Title: SimuTranslator site
Post by: Frank on October 23, 2008, 11:26:37 pm
the new adress from SimuTranslator is

simutranslator.simutrans-germany.com (http://simutranslator.simutrans-germany.com)

or

simutrans-germany.com/translator/ (http://simutrans-germany.com/translator/)

new futures

- new option User Reference Language in Preferences

(http://simutrans-germany.com/translator/images/user_pref_lang.jpg) (http://http://simutrans-germany.com/translator/images/user_pref_lang.jpg)

- this show than in page 'Edit Texts'

(http://simutrans-germany.com/translator/images/new_text_edit.jpg) (http://simutrans-germany.com/translator/images/new_text_edit.jpg)

Statistics shows only translators in the state have 'active'.

I import the texts from pak64 (SVN - not food and waste) and pakHAJO in the next days.

http://translator.simutrans.com/ (http://translator.simutrans.com/) should be updated to reflect this, because it still points the user someplace else - a different DNS alias entry for translator.simutrans.com should do the job in the easiest way.

Weird I have problem logging in my account in this new translator website, it works fine with the old one and in Tomas Kubes's one too but whenever I login with my account p****word and username it keep saying login failed.

Wasn't this addressed in Napik's email to all translator users?

Therefore you should be able to login using your old credentials
and start translating. However in few cases, little adjustments in the
internal structure could have caused p****word reset. Please write me, if
your old p****word does not work.

Thanks, I must have miss the mail or accidentally delete it. I have a habit of not checking my mail frequently, oh and Franks thanks for activating, I now should have plenty of time to translate for Simutrans since I am now in school holiday all the way to next year.
Title: Re: SimuTranslator site
Post by: LondonBVE on October 27, 2008, 11:10:33 am
I noticed one problem that I could not get past and that is if I were to click on "\nCan't open heightfield file.\n" instead of taking me to a translation page it will give me SQL Error.

SQL error : You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 't open heightfield file.\n' AND p.having_version_version_id='0'' at line 1

Because of this I need to frequently use the Object guide to get around it since edit text and browse text will bring me back to first object to translate.

These text cause sql error too.
Maybe, "'" is the problem.

Sorry, what due you mean? Download gives me a correct file, at least for german, english and japanese, as far as I checked it. The text are the one from the last working backup (5.10.08).

Please, specify the error.

(If you mean errors in something else than base text: pak64 is not current on translator. I need a nightly from 5.10. or 4.10 or so to get the latest backup to compare.)

There is one problem.

Japanese keyboard help contains < br > tag, because Japanese text don't fit window.
But unfortunately, all texts after first < br > tag are disappeared.

Ok, fixed now.

I reimported them several times. THere are also less than 25 entries missing, thus it seem not that there was great loss since october.

Hi!
They are somewhere available actual source codes of SimuTranslator? Maybe I can help to improve Translator.
I see only source codes in Translator documentation (http://www.simutrans-germany.com/translator/doc/), but they are very old and poor...

when VS upload the pak128 source files
Please do not translate pak128 yet!
I am still uploading the whole set, it will take long to split it into many pieces :(

I won't upload gui stuff, grounds, pedestrians or citycars since they are useless for translation purposes.

Also: I will nuke the homemarket! AAAAARGH! I swear that *#$%%@ thing has more images than the whole internet. This is the seventh time I have to split upload again because of that… that… thing!

EDIT: I broke it... apparently :( I get either blank screen or no images are updated when uploading things.

The object Moebelhaus can not be overwritten - no big loss. But there is some problem with Trolleybus_electrification it seems. Or maybe all catenary objects are damaged?

Also I can't upload houses. They are on the exactly same sheets as exported from translator earlier, and can't be imported. Blank screen.

Should I cut them all apart?

This happens by limiting the running script.

Either import as dat-only or split the file.

Com is import dat-only.

Guys, could I maybe get some help here quickly?
It's ok to edit pak128 now?
And I just wana make sure I do it the right way.
So for instance:

Edit Translation for Object: factory_fish_pond_details
Set pak128, type dummy_info, copyright:

Lets say i would like to translate this the correct translation should be formated as follows:?

fiskdamms_fabrik_detaljer

?

1) Now I can't log in to the translator. But I could do so initially after its move to Frank's server.
2) Many Pak128 objects that I checked are without any translations, so there are still entries missing.
(e.g. start at "Cement", and navigate in either direction)

=> IMHO: not usable yet for Pak128.

One silly question, why translator.simutrans.com does not redirect to simutranslator.simutrans-germany.com/? I've to p**** by 3 sites until I find the right one...

Back to the object guide improvement, the filter is a good idea but the way the info is shown is quite messy. It's difficult to see something among so many letters together. My suggestion is to use a table to show the results of the filter.

Thanks very much for this feature, Frank!

EDIT: There are some problems with translations. When you select any language different from english and then you enter in any object to edit the translation, the rest of translations from other languages look strange, as if it was something due to page encoding (ISO-8859-1).

To reproduce it, change interface language to spanish (es) and then enter to edit any object. I guess that happens the same with all. It's really not important because the translation in the language your are translator is shown correctly. Furthermore it only happens with some languages like japanese, Belaruskaja, russian, svenka or chinesse and with some special characters from other languages (accents like á or à in French) Is possible to fix it?

You mean you lost the translation or you can't translate that word because it does not appear in the list? AFAIK, prissi (and other pak mantainers too) sometimes remove some words so perhaps that's the case, however I wouldn't discard the database issue.. :-\

The clear block and several else were deleted by me since those are no longer in use. Unfourtunately those reappeared once. I also deleted many useless translations (wrong factory_details stuff in case of japanese) and also many unwanted translations like "Small building" or "Residence RES 18_01".

This is one of the many maintenance task that make real releases so much painful work.

I have the list of wrong/too many at home. I will attach it in the evening.

Belarusian is the english word. Should be the native ward in ASCII, i.e. without any accents.

I would like to do a suggestion:

In Display Texts With Suggestion (http://simutrans-germany.com/translator/script/has_suggestion.php), in "Select Set:" menu drop-down, add "all Sets" option.

Thanks

Huh?! O.o"

Thanks! :D

A little question:

In "$LNG_FORM[44]", it's "not Help files found" as master translation. The correct would not be "no Help files found"?

What is the exact procedure to get an account on simutranslator?

When I go to login, there is a link to contact SimuTranslator Admins (http://simutrans-germany.com/translator/script/contact.php), which opens absolutely nothing and goes nowhere!?????

I have noticed that croatian translation (Hrvatski) is totaly unfinished. It is mixed with croatian and hungarian words ?!!!!!
In game texts also show half croatian and half hungarian.
102.2. has wrong translation, even 102.2.2 is totaly wrong. Maybe somebody started to translate (obviously from hungarian as the base) and never finished?

As croatian is my native language, and I also speak fluently german and english, I would be willing to repair the translation.

Or would the better way be, to send translated in-game text files to somebody, i.e. via e-mail?

After viewing a diff of the .tab files (base and pak64 texts from 102.2.2), I reckon that the reason for the mix-up is an erroneous fill-up import of HU translation into HR, because there are many regions with exactly the same translation texts. So, there is no work going to be lost when you or anyone else overwrites the incorrect translations.
Also, the language exports for HR and HU show no authors beside Frank (administrator). Does this mean that there aren't any active translators for these languages?

Thanks. I received the login data and successfully changed my login p****word.

EDIT: I gave myself a push, sat down for three hours (21:00-00:00 MET) and rechecked and retranslated croatian base texts. There were some serbian constructions inside coratian translations... 99% procent re-translated.

I tried the new translations against Simutrans 102.2, and now it makes more sense (in-game text is really croatian, not hungarian).

After that, I had a crazy idea and rechecked Croatian translations from 101 & 99 Simutranses (which I happened to have in my archive). I noticed, that 99.11. had first "hr" translations (in my collection). I have no 99.10., and 99.09. seems to still not have had "hr" language...

99.11. says:
Quote
#                                   authors:                                   #
#                             Gordan Adzic - Mrvca                             #

100 is the same.
The mixup seemd to have happened in in V101 indeed... At once, there are hungarian texts&roatian texts mixed and copyright changed...

It seems, I did some nonsense job (as there was already fully working croatian version), albeight I think I have now translated some new features, which were unpresent in V100...

Anyway, one could compare my translations to the V100  ones, and see, If I made errors, and if there were some better formed translations...

To tired now, going to sleep...

I tried to send a message to SimuTranslator admins, but the browser stalled trying to do that....

"I have translated SimuTranslator GUI texts (into Croatian) using the SimuTranslator itself.

However, this can not be selected in the language menu, so I cannot test the correct word combinations and possible tweaks to the translation.

Is it posible to enable "Croatian | Hrvatski" in the language selection Menu for SimuTranslator GUI itself?

Many thanks in advance."

, so I am not sure, if this works as it should...

Hopefully somebody who can do this will read this...
Thanks in advance.

Suggestion:

I would like much my language was set as default in "Select a language..." menu drop-down. Currently, I had to set my language by hand every time I need to download a package or use the Object Guide.
