P**** to it parameter -freeplay.

Eg. Make shortcut to game exe, open its properties and where it says C:\...\simutrans.exe or similar (first box), append space and -freeplay

Do you use Windows? Then you have to create a shortcut and add " -freeplay".

Freeplay disables bankrupt, doesn't it ? Use the beginner mode in starting new world does the same.

But beginner mode does more than just disable bankruptcy (don't even know if it really does that, actually), so the effect is not the same.

Why not add "freeplay" setting in new world ?

Because that setting is not saved in a savegame. A savegame started without freeplay can at any time be played with freeplay and vice versa.

It might be an idea to add a freeplay button in the financial window though.
