Help, first I am not a computer buff so cannot understand half the things people say in here, going into files I have never heard of and doing things I don't understand. So please respond in really basic language. I have used simutrans for a few years and updated recently. 100.0 version, Pak128 however in the factory list I have a publisher factory requiring paper but this version has no sawmill, no paper mill and no wood plantations. How do I add those paks into the Pak128 version so I can play the game properly?

1) How did you update? Did you put everything in a new directory? Or did you just overwrite your old Simutrans directory? Putting everything in a new directory is better by far.
2) About which factory list are you talking?
a) The list where all factories are mentioned that are on your map, or
b) The list which is in the "build factory" dialog, in which you can select what factory you want to build (this dialog can be found by first pressing the "crane" button in the main toolbar, then pressing the "edit map" button (most right button) in the toolbar that comes up and then pressing the "build factory" button in the toolbar that comes up).
3) Did you start a new game or did you load an existing game mady in earlier versions?
You brilliant person..see, told you I knew little about these things. Didn't know there was a build factory button..thank you . problem fixed!!
How can this be fixed with 99.17? There are no logging facilities or lumbermills. Nor do I see an 'Add Factory' icon.
The map editing feature (including manual industry placement) was only introduced in 100.0 - so, there's no way of fixing it in 99.17, unless you update to the later version.
