Help with building an overp**** March 19, 2009, 04:18:34 pm Hi there, me again.I am trying to place an overp**** to relieve some road congestion. Please take a look at the screenshot.http://screencast.com/t/951NbFAiV 102, pak128.Any tips?I tried dragging the different bridge types across different distances, and I get "Bridges must start on existing way". Basically, clicking on the hole, then length of 3 starting on both sides, then length of 5, etc...Thanks. Quote Selected
Re: Help with building an overp**** Reply #1 – March 19, 2009, 04:21:52 pm The simple answer is that bridges must start either on a flat road tile "pointing" in the right direction, or on a down-slope.Being able to make a bridge in a space like that (off two cliffs) has been a wish for several years, but isn't currently possible. So you don't have to build the slopes to build the bridge. When you click on the 'end' of the first road, it will look for and find the second road tile, and properly bridge over the road in the middle. Counter-intuitive if you come from some other games, but one of the great powers of Simutrans. (I quickly missed this while playing other games... the great amount of control of roads/bridges) Quote Selected
