Bus popped up in the middle of nowhere

I created a largish 512 by 512 map. I then created my first bus for it - created a few bus stops, and a route. I applied the route to the bus, hit start, and the bus appeared somewhere else.

The somewhere else was in the middle of trees the other side of the map.
To get an idea of how far it popped up - the depot is at 38, 252 and the random area it popped up at is 258, 37. What is more, I cannot see the bus as I think it has popped up 2 levels above the land at that point. A very bizarre development.

Here is  the save - too big to attach. The bus has the name "CrazyLostVehicle" on it - it can be found in the list.

The game is version 101. Pak128. On x86 Ubuntu Linux.

I have got the bus to appear and get moving again in a later save of the game by raising the land and creating a long road from it at the right level. I think this is a bug. I searched the forums and didn't find anything similar.

Did you rotate the map? It seems the x- and the y-coordinate of the bus got swapped  ???
Parsley, sage, rosemary, and maggikraut.

I wander - typing a route name, hitting a capital R while putting in waypoints.. I don't think I did but it is not impossible I suppose.. Odd.

This looks like a bug that I remember from years ago, when player vehicles would become caught in traffic jams and get magically transported to a far-away road tile.  It looked pretty cool, but rarely did it help…

You know what could have done it - starting the vehicle from the depot while paused, and rotating before unpausing...

Yes, this was a bug we had a while ago. We had fixed it (r2354), but I can't find the thread...
