Station coverage of multitile buildings

According to http://www.simutrans-tips.com/en/tutorials/p****enger_2.php you need to cover all tiles of multi-tile buildings to get all the p****engers, except for industries. However it also gives an example of a tourist attraction but says "Image: Tourist attraction (Bad example!)" but I don't get why it's a bad example since a tourist attraction is not an industry and does therefore need all tile coverage supported also by http://forum.simutrans.com/index.php?topic=2881.0. Perhaps it means it's an example of what not to do.

But is the industries part right? I noticed in the industries I have put a stop near it says connected stops which would concur with the idea industries are special and you only need one tile to have full p****enger coverage.

And everything else you need all tiles, including cityhalls and stuff?

Hello Nil Einne.  Welcome to the forum.

You understand the same way as I do.  For industry workers you need only cover one tile of the industry..but for tourist attractions and town halls etc..you need to cover all tiles to obtain maximum p****enger coverage.

The image you refer to is of a part covered tourist attraction. Its making the point that its not all covered by the bus stop...ie of how not to do it...(of bad play)  Still... 50% of those p****engers is better than none.
