Making house problems.

I cannot make any more building addons. I ALWAYS GET INVALID IMAGE SIZE! It doesn't let it in the pak file. Oh well...

I forever not making building addons then.

I'm using pak96.comic and pak128.Britain. Mostly pak96.comic.

What's the size of that image? for which pakset are you developing that addon?

Pak96, but it shows invalid because of pak64. *I removed this sentence because mod note.*

Yes, but if you do pak96, the images must be 96x96 pixels too, if you do makeobj pak96 on a 64x64 image, then you get an error.

Here is why I can't see in the "Build City Buildings" list. So as below the post.

Can anyone fix it?

PlayTrans2009, please, try to post in correct section of the forum. This doesn't belong to General Discussion, at all.

And you don't need to use CAPS LOCK this way. It seems you're yelling at us. :(

Lastly, I would ask you patience.

Pak96, but it shows invalid because of pak64. I PUT PAK96 FOR HEAVEN SAKE!

I've warned you once about having an attitude. Your second sentence above is a perfect example of what is not acceptable here.

This is your second and final warning.

I will ban you from this forum if you do this again.

Well, we almost always help anybody but you must understand that this is not a call center, where you ask for help and we quickly answer you. You always must be patient..

Now, back to the topic, you can try this dat file
Code: [Select]
Obj=building
Name=COM_96c_Office
copyright=PlayT
Type=com
chance=115
Level=20
needs_ground=1
intro_year=1950
climates=tropic,mediterran,temperate,,rocky
BackImage[0][0][0][0][0][0]=Project_Building.0.0

It worked for me. You should get a 7.85 KB pak file called building.COM_96c_Office.pak.. I guess the problem was you where using the dims attribute in a comercial building but I'm not sure at all.

I also tried it with your original dat file and what I got was a 69 Bytes pak file (such a small size usually means there has been problems) a message at pakhelper log file:

Quote
skipping unknown building object xxx

Does anybody know why makeobj skips the object when using the original PlayTrans2009 dat file?

I tried it, but renamed the picture file. Worked like a charm. I will test more with original file name...

EDIT: Weird, it will not work. Try putting the file name in all lowercase.

EDIT2: I give up, too :(

My projects... Tools for messing with Simutrans graphics. Graphic archive - templates and some other stuff for painters. Development logs for most recent information on what is going on. And of course pak128!

To PlayTrans2009.

First of all, welcome to simutrans.

Don't get mad because you get banned for 2days.
If people here is really mean, no body would care about you and
posts no response and you would have just get banned.

We do care because we want you to succeed.
If you succeed, it might will be also our benefit in future.

Post again in proper section in proper manner.

If you do not know where to post, ask in general section first.
There is order in things.

This board is a realworld because people here are from real world.
Message board is a real world conversation. Reserve your hard feeling
unless you are explicitly attacked.
(People here are in situation to teach/advice you things.
Would you explicitly sigh and show your feeling to your teacher?
Of course teacher usually don't spend time and energy to react to
your little gestrure, but in message board, like writing in paper, it stay's there
for long time.

("sigh"-ing and using all UPPER CASE word is not so gentle)

Hope you understand this.

EDIT1: One thing I can think of is the number of colour you save as when you
            are done with your png image file. I'm sure you have to choose 24bit
            colour.  ;)
EDIT2: Ah, it was about your image size. Usually if you point your image file
            icon in question, it will tell its dimension. Point your mouse pointer
            on image icon and see.

I did choose 24-bit colour. And it is in 96x96 pixels.

You have spaces at the end of lines.

That leads to this error.

Frank, you are the owner of Online_Dat. You should fix it...

1. You double-posted. Look at the times. I will start deleting them after this one. It's less than 24 hours after your previous post. EDIT your previous post.

2. Do not tell people what they should do.

@PlayTrans - you need to set up the camera correctly - you want an isometric view.  I have no idea how sketchup works though.  You also need to replace the white background with colour e7ffff (simutrans transparent).

This is not directly a Online_Dat problem.

The create dat file from Online_Dat have no spaces end of lines.

When you local changed ( or your editor changed ) the dat file before upload to Online_Dat, then is this no Online_dat error.

You can delete the spaces in the dat by Online_Dat.

When did anyone ever say "yesterday" or "today"?

Count how many hours between the posts and tell me how many hours.

I don't know...
