choose signal and p****ing through station

Hi,

I came back to simutrans after some longer time and a had a bit problems with PBS and signals (playing stable 102.2). However robotic translation of German wiki (http://simutrans-germany.com/wiki/wiki/tiki-index.php?page=de_Eisenbahnsignale2&bl=y) and experimenting helps me a lot. But now i found problem, that i am not able to solve:

That design works OK if all trains have this station in schedule. Now i sent there just p****ing train and i have almost deadlock. Is there any signal-based solution (thus without making both platforms of the station one-way or setting up additional waypoint for p****ing train)? Thanks for suggestions.

This has been answered and explained several times already - please use the search function first.

I think it's fair to try and help new members of the forum, while encouraging them to search in the *future*. :) Let's be welcoming! :D

I'm looking to see if I can find any relevant thread, will update this post in a few minutes if I do.

EDIT: I think the answer is to make a waypoint past the station for routes that go through that station and don't stop. Do any of you regular train users know what keywords would be good for this search? My ideas didn't pan out. hehe

I have searched forum, but presumably i am not able to create the right search (simply english is not my mother language). Thats why i posted picture.

I know waypoint solution (mentioned in my message), but i am just curious about signal-based solution (if there is any).

No, the waypoint method is all you can do, I'm afraid.

And the reason why I was pointing to the search is simple: I had just explained this to someone else only a couple of days ago:

I seem to recall encountering this problem a while back, never did work out the waypoint solution.

The solution I found was to build a by-p**** line, from before the choose signal all the way past the station, and make sure that it was shorter distance and of faster track than the route through the choose signal and station, so that by preference, trains didn't encounter the choose signal at all unless they wanted to divert off the main line, to call at the station (which was effectively on a line of its own).

From memory, I recall it working neatly if you have two straight 'through' tracks, then two pair of platforms in parallel, either side of them (which are nonetheless of the same station); because to divert / sidestep from the dead-straight route will always be a greater distance, and the layout doesn't appear unduly contrived.
