New Industry Chains? April 20, 2010, 10:32:20 am Has anyone considered making industry chains for the aluminum and/or copper industries?Aluminum - Bauxite Mine, produces bauxite ore - Aluminum Smelter, converts bauxite to aluminum ingots. This process requires huge amounts of electricity; would it be possible to not allow this factory to operate unless hooked up to power lines? - End consumers may include canneries, soft drink bottlers, etc.Copper - Copper Mine, produces copper ore - Smelter, produces copper ingots, further converted into copper pipe or wireWhat do you all think? Re: New Industry Chains? Reply #1 – April 20, 2010, 11:26:53 am The Aluminum chain was already suggest here and there's a pak128 version of Bauxite mine... link. The problem of this chain is that you may need to modify official end consumers, and the sources from some of them are not available. The copper chain sounds interesting.. Quote Selected
Re: New Industry Chains? Reply #2 – May 02, 2010, 09:03:01 am I would like to add my vote for the copper chain. Also would like to add two others:Gypsum (mine) to drywall for the construction materials end point.Sugar beets (farm field) to bags of sugar for grocery stores. (There is a rather large difference between sugar produced from cane and beet.) Quote Selected
