grain farm on steroids

Good morning..Using Pk128 Britian experimental.  Problem, I have a grain farm that is growing out of control. Two game years ago when the map was generated the farm consisted of approx 15 tiles, it is now approx 18x20 tiles and growing, looking at devouring a small village.
Is there a method to restrain growth area without building a slop around entire boundry, this is ugly??  Farm supplies one brewery which supplies four pubs. Not a large demand.  Thank you

Do you use ST-experimental, or the main branch with "Pak128 Britian experimental" (don't know whether that combination works)? In the first case, the problem may happen only in ST-experimental, so this thread would fit better in the board for that.

I am using Pak128 Britain 1.05 running with Exp 7.0. Maybe I have the wrong combination. I tried controlling the growth with a road and/or a fence, neither work.

If you are using experimental simutrans, probably best to use the experimental version of pak128.Britain (it is a branch).  Guess from your version numbers, you are using standard pak.  No idea if that affects things about farms, but if you get the same issue for standard simutrans with standard pak then let me know...
