trucks can't find a route

Hi,

I am playing Simutrans 102.3 Experimental 7.1 with Pak128Britain. I use trucks to transport goods within a city. Everything worked fine until I first saved the game. Now all trucks cannot find a route any more. Starting Simutrans new with the saved game does not solve the problem. I also tried to set the "enforce weight limit" variable to 0 (weight limits do not matter) without success. However, when I sell all involved trucks and buy new ones of the same type everything again works fine - until the next game save. Does anybody have an idea?

Daniel,

welcome to Simutrans! Thank you for trying Simutrans-Experimental. One or two things to notes: firstly, there is a bug in the existing release of Pak128.Britain in which all tunnels have a weight limit of 0t, which makes them imp****able. That should be fixed in the next release. Secondly, when you save a game, all the settings (including the enforce_weight_limits setting) are saved with it, so changing the value in simuconf.tab affects only new games. I am not aware of any issue in which behaviour is different after loading a saved game, though.

Could you upload your saved game for testing? I am afraid that I am especially busy this week in work, so am unlikely to be able to deal with it for a while, but if you upload your saved game, I should be able to get around to it in due course.

Check roadqualities for your truck-line which is causing troubles.
Maybe the weight-limit is the cause.
Had the same problem myself, using Exp-DRC cart-road with a weightlimit of 10 tons in 1900.

It was however remarkable that it was signalled after 4-5 monthes of service.

Weight limits are often the issue. Watch out, the weight limit on the pre-built bridges on the intercity roads are so low practically nothing will go over them.
