Open this files with a text editor like notepad, gedit, vi, ...

SimuStarter has only executable files for LINUX. Is this the correct for you?

No, I've got Windows. However i only need it to make my simutrans version 102.2.2. Because it doesn't work. I've got a freeplay saved game from the older version but it doesn't run freeplay.

To play in freeplay mode:
Press k and choose freeplay mode in the bottom of the dialog.
