beside of Babelfish and other (most of the time unwanted humorous translation tools) I strongly recommend

leo.org

There you will find translation pairs (unfortunately "only" with German) English, French, Italian, Chinese, Spanish. I strongly believe that this site can help at quite some points. Also leo.org offers a very helping forum ...

Another great help could be to mark the forum members language base and maybe make this searchable. For me I'm German native and have only English as add language, so can't help with French or Dutch problems (even though I could get a little grip in those languages).
