makeobj wants stop instead of busstop/station etc.

Is there 'official' information anywhere on the dat syntax change? We should update the wiki...

I think the german wiki is updated for some time. Also the english language page in the german wiki is up to date (http://de.wiki.simutrans-forum.de/wiki/tiki-index.php?page=en_BuildingsDef). Imho the english part of the "german" wiki is more up to date than the english wiki.

Doesn't makeobj complain about these?

It stopped complaining and compiled the pak when I changed those to

the english page update since 5 minutes, not all translating

The german Wiki is perfect. Frank works so much on it.

If you have no Information in englisch use the google language_tool:

You have to use "Translate a web page".

The translation is not perfect, but better than nothing.
