How do I 'connect' stations?(aka Factories)

I started playing simutrans 1 hour ago, and I'm such a noob I can't find out how to connect stations. I searched the wiki AND the forum, read all the help sections, but I just can't find out how.

You guys are probably going to think I'm a noob and laugh at me, but still. I really can't find out.

Sorry, what do you mean by connecting stations?

a) making a vehicle run between these two
b) building bigger station
c) joining more stations
d) ...?

What I mean is, how do I make it so that the stations can transport goods between them? I put it on the truck's schedule, but that doesn't work because they don't know what goods to transport (I think that's the problem?).

Well. You need two stations, and some vehicles moving between them.

And of course the stations must be somewhere where it makes sense. Like, first station near a coal mine, second near power plant that buys coal from that mine.

When you look at factory info window, all connected other factories are listed. Clicking them little arrows moves the screen to that other factory.

Ok, I have more questions. -_- Sorry!

How do you get a vehicle between those factories?
And lastly, how do you connect factories?(Was my original question, thought Your answer worked for it[not like YOUR ANSWER DOESN'T WORK!])

Did you try to look at Starter Guide? It explains most of the basics with pictures, so it would probably help more than talking to me only with words...
