Changable Speed Limit on Road March 26, 2009, 01:19:03 am When I was playing Simutrans with timeline, I notice that at year 1950, there exist Highway Entrance. So I want to build one, but soon I notice that I can't control which car to enter. All car can enter. So I Decided to restrict the minimum speed. But there is only one that I can choose(80 km per hr). Can you make the speed limit variable.I think that we can change the sign "80" into "min". Quote Selected
Re: Changable Speed Limit on Road Reply #1 – March 26, 2009, 02:39:53 am Hello. Welcome to Simutrans forum! The thing is that it is relatively easy(require little patience and attention)to make road sign addon in simutrans. If you want only parameters to be changed, even more so.You can make several different kind if you care to.Unless one coder is interested in making one your proposing.Enjoy your stay! Quote Selected
Re: Changable Speed Limit on Road Reply #2 – March 26, 2009, 02:48:42 am http://addons.simutrans.com/ may have usable signs, depending on the pak. For pak64 and pak128, there are add-on sign packs, and I do believe both of them have alternate speeds. But this is not an extension request at all - the capability exists, and indeed is implemented.I'll move it to help, for now -- please comment which pak you're playing and we can move it to the appropriate place. Re: Changable Speed Limit on Road Reply #3 – March 26, 2009, 06:01:01 am Thanks for help. I usually play with pak128.I did find a package named "Combined Road Signs". But it did not help.Maybe I should explain more in detail. When I playing with timeline(usually begin with 1950), I notice that the cars at that age, maximum speed is not over 70km/hr. In other word, it is no use to put a "minimum speed limit 80" on the road.So I think that the simutrans team should have a method that to change the minimum speed limit on our own.By the way, the package named "Combined Road Signs" provided many signs that combined with more than two functions. But its minimum "minimum speed limit" is 80. So I think it not really help me out. Thanks all who is helping me.P.S. If I have time, I will try to make it as a package on my own Quote Selected Last Edit: March 26, 2009, 06:05:04 am by timfan3939
