Performance testing

In order to be able to give out accurate minimum and recommended hardware specifications for Simutrans-Experimental, I should be very grateful if people who have used Simutrans-Experimental could post information about their hardware here, and how Simutrans-Experimental performed for them. Please try to undertake the performance tests with no CPU or memory-intensive tasks running in the background for accurate comparison.

It would be helpful if people could use a common template for the information, as follows:

Here is my response:

Simutrans-Experimental revision number: Standard: 102.1 Experimental: 2

System architecture (64-bit or 32-bit): 32-bit
CPU type: Pentium 4 Northwood, 2.4Ghz overclocked to 3.0Ghz (single core)
RAM: 2Gb
Operating system: Windows XP Professional

Performance acceptable at normal speed? Yes
Performance acceptable at fast-forward speed? Yes
Performance faster/slower/the same as Simutrans-Standard under like conditions? Slightly slower - fast forward at 50x normal speed or so in Simutrans-Experimental, between 60-80x in Simutrans-Standard with the same medium to large save game.
Any other comments on performance:
Performance in fast-forward slows noticeably at the beginning of every second month when the re-routing occurs, but the slowing is not enough for Simutrans to become unresponsive. Performance still acceptable, although fast-forward slows to 1.5-5x normal speed for a short time.
