Insufficient goods for factory April 27, 2009, 11:40:06 am I have one gl**** mill for dairy, one concrete mixer for material wholesale which require sand from one sand quarry. That's ok because sand quarry's output is just enough for both factories when I supplied power into that sand quarry.but when new electronics factory created, there's no new sand quarry, so I cannot supply gl****es into new electronics factory. Is the AI creates new sand quarry for new electronics factory soon, or there's no way except creating new sand quarry using public service? Re: Insufficient goods for factory Reply #1 – April 27, 2009, 07:51:17 pm I think shortage of several ggods in pak128 is intended by the pak-maker. Because certain factories require only one supllier or so. (If there would be zero in the pakfile, simutrans usually guess how much is needed.)Another possibility: YOu are in the beginner mode? Then crossconnect everything is on, an here simutrans may get problems for too strongly crossconnected games.Third possibility: There are not enough places for new sand quarries. Might happen, if the sand query has special climate requirements. Best is probably to change to public player and built one and connect it to your factory manually. Quote Selected

Re: Insufficient goods for factory Reply #3 – April 29, 2009, 02:43:52 am I doubt that it crashes for complete cross-connection (p****enger networks are still much more complex), but these issues may occur:- the player accidentally connects factories, so goods may go to unexpected recipients, using unexpected routes- one producer can have too many (connected) consumers, so some of those may not receive goods, or the flow of goods can become very unsteady. Re: Insufficient goods for factory Reply #4 – April 30, 2009, 07:32:08 am The crossconnect all feature (which is active in beginner mode) makes the demand calculation difficult, and it may fail sometimes. However, most ofter there is no suitable terrain around or the number of factories is capped (pak128). Re: Insufficient goods for factory Reply #5 – May 01, 2009, 04:22:34 am Hi Erniii, Do you know that you can build and cross connect multiple goods suppliers to multiple producers. Excuse me if I've got it wrong in what you're saying. Quote Selected
Re: Insufficient goods for factory Reply #6 – May 01, 2009, 10:07:55 am As an experiment, I just removed the hard-set number of suppliers from all pak128 factories. If someone tested the pak128 nightlies with numbers from 567 onwards (probably available tomorrow?), I would be very grateful. Quote Selected
