bug: guppy not loading chemicals September 13, 2009, 01:59:32 pm Hi allWhen setting up my guppy to transport boxes of chemicals from a chemical plant to a chemist, the route refuses to work - i.e. the factory produces the crates, but they never appear in the airport for loading by the guppy.Am I right to expect this to work? After all, the guppy advertises that it loads 25 crates boxed goods, and the chemicals factory advertises that it produces chemicals (crates, boxed goods).I noticed that there is a small difference betwee the descriptions on the guppy and the factory - the guppy's description does not have a comma in the same place.Regards,Johan Quote Selected

Re: bug: guppy not loading chemicals Reply #2 – September 15, 2009, 05:40:15 am For both airports, the factory producing / accepting goods are in the airport's catchment area. For the chemical factory, this means the spot where the Guppy stops, is adjacent to a road freight station, so that they form a single stop. The freight station's catchment area definitely includes the factory (it's been working for several game years now).I haven't built extra storage like warehouses at the airports - is that what I'm missing? If you look at the Airport information window, do you see the little symbol for freight in the top line? It looks roughly like a pile of sand (but browner) next to the symbol for p****engers (and possibly the yellow letter for mail)? If you do not see such a symbol, the airport cannot transport goods, and you need to build an extension (such as a warehouse) to enhance it with that capability. Quote Selected

Re: bug: guppy not loading chemicals Reply #6 – September 22, 2009, 04:05:51 pm Hello,I have also a problem with chemicals not being loaded. I Have a chemical plant that produces chemicals that are transported to chemists with no problems. When I try to transport the chemicals to pharmaceutics the lorry does not load anything. I have tried transporting chemicals to few other Pharmaceutics around the map (all were connected with the chemical plant) with no success. Just like the Pharmaceutics chain wouldn't exist.I run Pak64 with few addons - any Ideas why?rgdsET Quote Selected
Re: bug: guppy not loading chemicals Reply #7 – September 22, 2009, 05:56:30 pm Hello, ETI've got few ideas: verify, that a contract exists between said factories. If there is a contract, verify, that the stops on your Line are connected to the said factories. For example, at the unloading end of the line, the stop's "Details" button should tell you:Connected factories:PharmaceuticsSince this topic is all about stops and their abilities to handle cargo in the first place, I bet that isn't the problem now. If the contract does exist, there is still a chance for a problem. Let the Chemical Plant have multiple customers and let at least two of them contracts be served by a Line with convoys running on it. If only one stop is used for loading the cargo, the stop capacity can become an issue. It can get full with goods waiting to go to Client A and thus cannot accept any goods for Client B. Add a pinch of logistics and the problem is no more. Quote Selected
Re: bug: guppy not loading chemicals Reply #8 – September 23, 2009, 01:55:01 pm @DjeserkheperureThanx for your concern I have tried all the things you have posted before I have posted the help request. All the factories are connected because I create my own map as public player. Capacity also is not an issue - the factory is located near a port with a capaticy of 10 000 units...Is this possible because for some addons that I have for my simutrans?ET Quote Selected
