Maps don't have many industries

Hey everyone
I'm new here and have just become addicted to simutrans after swapping between it and openttd

my first question though..
When I create maps they don't have many industries, maybe three of four for the entire map , which i generally have around 400x300 ish size and bigger as I love the idea of a huge map .. So do the inustries get crested as time goes on  or do i have to fund themamd build them?

The reason I swap between openttd and simu is because I love the map layout of ottd but the industry chains of simu...

Any comments welcomed :)
thanks

Hi Randoof,

You can increase the number of industries created during the initial world creation screen. New industries will also be created during the course of the game as towns and cities grow larger (and you can encourage this growth by transporting goods and p****engers between cities).

And welcome to the Simutrans community :)

Hi
agh ok so that option of number of industries chains at the beginning relates to how many you start with, I thought that was to choose the 'depth' of the chain, or hoe many links there are. So that's cool
thanks forthat and apologies for originally posting I the wrong section

many thanks

In addition to that, you can also change the different contracts (connections) between industries during the game. Change to Public Service (SHIFT+P) go to Special Construction tools >> Map editing tools. There you have several tools like Factory builder, Connect factory and Increase industry density that may help you to modify the industry network as you wish.
