Change Request: New Limit for Industry Chains in New Map Dialog

I see people trying to create maps with hundreds of industry chains. In the german forum there was just a  complaint that generating a 128x128 map with 600 industry chains is too slow.

Apparently the no. of chains fierld accepts up to 999 chains. Sensible for most maps is 100 chains or less, so 99 would do, too.

To avoid such problems for inexperienced/new players the field should be changed to a lower max. Maybe make the max. no. of chains dependent on map size. (side*side) / (1000) ... numbers must be tweaked, just a suggestion.

I support it. I think it would be better to stablish a fixed limit, independent from the map size.

That's creates at least between 1200 and 1800 factories in a map with 16,384 tiles. Taking in to account that every factory occupies between 1-4 tiles, that means 4800-7200 tiles. So, the factories use between 29,2% and 43,94% of the surface available.  :o

600 chains on a 128x128?  That's insane!  I generally support this idea, but I think the option to add more industries and chains via the map editor should still exist and allow more to be built later in the game if desired.

Yes you are right, here is a small patch: the factory builder now gives up if more then 10 attempts to built a chain failed. I could generate a 128x128 with 999 industry chains in less than one minute (actually only 6 or 7 chains were generated).

One could set the number of generated chains as the new default.

Thanks Dwachs, that should help to reduce the complaints about map creation times with such settings :)
