Config not correct?

I recently downloaded simutrans experimental and when starting it, i get the following message

This application has failed to start because application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem

I downloaded the new sources but I still get this message

Can anyone help?

Now I have a new problem

This time it is when opening the pak, it says

FATAL ERROR: vehicle_reader_t::read_node() Do not know how to handle verson=17416

Any more help?

pak 128 Britain with simutrans 102.1 6.6 experimental.

To the best of my knowledge, this is correct.

Which version of Pak128.Britain? Also, Simutrans-Experimental 6.6 is somewhat out of date: the latest version is 7.2, which can be downloaded from the link to which I referred in my first reply on this thread.

I believe it is the latest version of it.

I now have simutrans 102.3 7.1 experimental

can you give me the specific version number of Pak128.Britain that you are using?

Right now, i am downloading 0.4, but I believe that is what I already have.

update: I do have 0.4.

That's very odd - certainly not an error that I can reproduce. You get that error when running the release version of Simutrans-Experimental 7.1 with the released version of Pak128.Britain-Ex 0.4? Do you have any addons, or was it a clean install of Pak128.Britain-Ex?

no adons, drag and drop has worked before on all my other pak sets (non experimental).

this is the pak i use.

I have new information. I am using simutrans 102.2.1

Werl,

Bernd Gabriel has done some work recently on improving saved game compatibility, and has found and fixed a number of bugs in that respect. It might be worthwhile waiting until version 7.2 and trying it again to see whether it works. Thank you for your patience :-)
