Re: City cars makes my trucks get stuck! Reply #2 – November 06, 2008, 08:49:51 pm Thanks for your reply. In pak 128 there is no private signs. I saw it somewhere as add-on. I will look for that. I think that behavior like this is a bug, because sometimes citycars turning back when reach loading bay. Almost always it happends when loading area is next to crossing. I'm to busy earning money, and don't have time to remove that cars manually Greetings. Quote Selected
Re: City cars makes my trucks get stuck! Reply #3 – November 06, 2008, 09:55:44 pm Private road sign for Pak128 is available athttp://addons.simutrans.comSelect 128 and other in the search fields, the sign is there at the bottom. I had the same frustration, so now I plan most of my loading bays with this Private sign at the entrance. It works most of the time but sometimes city cars do somehow end up in the loading bay complex - silly buggers! However they are mostly harmless.Ciao! micslu Quote Selected
Re: City cars makes my trucks get stuck! Reply #4 – November 06, 2008, 10:09:30 pm Hi, I made on the old forum a long post with explanation how to get rid of citycars in selected areas. I don't know if I remember it all correctly, but a few highlights:Citycars sometimes get stuck in front of the sign. There must be a way to turn somewhere else than directly back at the last tile before this sign. That means you always want to put the sign after X- or T-junctions, not in the middle of some road.Sometimes they appear in the protected area, especially if it's in a city. Provide some "safety valve" with oneway sign that will allow them to escape from protected areas since they can't p**** the no citycar sign to the "outside". Quote Selected
Re: City cars makes my trucks get stuck! Reply #5 – November 06, 2008, 10:19:26 pm Citycars do not enter a crossing they cannot leave. Unfourtunately you built a crossing a city car never can leave. Either provide an exit or use "private road signs". Quote Selected
Re: City cars makes my trucks get stuck! Reply #6 – November 07, 2008, 03:09:20 am I had noticed that problem and the solution I reached was to continue the road a little for all loading stations. If street cars find all loading bays with vehicles waiting, they queue. But if there is an exit like the one circled in the image, they take that exit and turn back. Quote Selected
Re: City cars makes my trucks get stuck! Reply #7 – November 09, 2008, 05:41:17 pm I used private signs and it works very well, but I noticed my simutrans crashes more often. Greetings Quote Selected
Re: City cars makes my trucks get stuck! Reply #8 – November 10, 2008, 06:37:09 pm I don't know about newer versions of the game, but with Windows GDI 99.18-1727 + Pak128 I have experience only very occasional crashes. And there are countless Private road signs.Almost all my loading stations have one. Cheers Quote Selected
Re: City cars makes my trucks get stuck! Reply #9 – November 21, 2008, 10:35:35 pm I played a little more, and Simutrans is running quite stable. Thanks for your replies. Mine station is much bigger , and don't have dead ends. Private signs is no longer needed ( ), but I left them just in case ;]. I have much more privsigns on entire map now . It should be in pak as standard sign Regards.Sarrus. Quote Selected
